Chantel Cabrera serves as the Director of Community Affairs for NYS Senator Brian Kavanagh. Prior to working with the NYS Senate, she spent 5 years at NY Center for Interpersonal Development (NYCID) a leading Staten Island based non-profit organization where she served as the Director of Workforce Initiatives.
She has spent her professional career working in the non-profit sector with a focus on at-promise youth, ages 14-24, and workforce development.
Chantel obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Stony Brook University in 2008 and is currently a New York State Licensed Master Social Worker in good standing.
She lives on Staten Island with her husband, elementary school aged son and middle school aged stepdaughters.
